We contacted budget only three hours before arriving to Dubai. All the documents were prepared when we arrived, and all we had to do is pay and pick up the car from the airport Terminal 1.the manager was kind enough to personally assist us in all the necessary prodecures, explained the whole process, walked us to our car and even checked on us a few days later.Very good service and surprisingly good rates!

To not jinx my car rental experience, the gentlemen at budget where pros. From the moment of picking up the reservation papers to picking up the car, everyone was helpful. Process was a little slow and the inspection missed a few spots but all and all it was a positive experience. I hope drop off goes the same way!

BIG ZERO !!!!I wouldn’t rent from them if they were the last car rental company out there !!!All comments mentioned by other customers about how they ignore your communication and how they deduct money without your consent are true, and I should have known better to check the reviews before renting.However, I was unfortunate to rent from them, where they gave me a car with faulty tires (giving 4 different readings) which is a major safety issue, and they didn’t offer any alternative or any other solution back then nor did they even reach out to check on my safety; but when I insisted and replaced the car -because I was worried from the tires conditions, plus all the noise coming out of the bad tires while driving and wasting over 4 hours trying to resolve this issue- they charged me for an additional night !!!Although, I was told back then that I wouldn’t be charged anything extra and yet they didn’t keep their word and they charged my credit card few days after returning the car.How is this acceptable from a corporate like budget ?????I wrote to them about 6 times to 3 different parties and no one seems to care !!!!!They just ignore your emails, and even when you reach them by phone they don’t respond to you.It has been over 1.5 month now and still totally ignoring my complaint, not even a single phone call, although I requested this several times, at least out of courtesy towards me as a customer. Honestly speaking I don’t know how they measure their customer satisfaction or if they even care about their customers in the first place !!Let alone the whole rental issue (faulty car, no alternative solutions, no professionalism from the staff, charging extra money, not keeping their word) but not responding to me as a customer is something else ?!!!!And it seems that all they do is put the same response in all reviews over here; please who ever gonna reply here read my review first before asking me to write to you, because I have already done that several times !!!!!I’m a frequent traveler and I rent wherever I go and to be honest this was the worst rental experience ever, worst customer care ever and no credibility what so ever !!!!!!

Don’t rent form this company as you will not get your deposit back!This is very stressful company, lazy team , they are so keen to take their money as per the policy and to return the deposit back it’s completely up to them.I’ve been waiting for my deposit for more than 40 days and no respond!! They related the delay to Covid19 which is unprofessionalI’ve been dealing with refund situation with Emirates airline the most effected sector during this time and respectfully they answer the email and refund the money.Hertiz a way faster and professional, deposit back on time even during Covid time

I paid extra 15 dollars for the option to drop the car to terminal 2.I have warned the people several times to be there at a specific time however they kept me waiting for 20 minutes.Why I paid that money if I had to wait that time? I could easily drop the car to terminal 3 and go to terminal 2 by taxi.I will never rent a car from budget UAE.

I definitely do not recommend this car rental company. I tried them twice in Kuwait and every time I ended up paying more that what I should have paid for (the insurance that you booked for does not cover a full insurance). I recommend Sixt car rental over in Terminal 1 or 3 as an alternative option.

I booked the car online and reached to pick up the car on time. But I couldnt complete the transaction due to my credit card issue. The guy on the counter referred me to another car rental and I asked if there would be any charges for my cancellation. He assured me there wont be any charges. But after some days I was charged an amount by the online booking agency. Now I am emailing them to clarify the situation but no replies.

Warning DO NOT RENT ANYCAR FROM THIS COMPANY! Before my vacation to Dubai I called up Budget and reserve a rental car for my stay. It was supposed to cost 247 dollars which includes the base option along with insurance. When i got to the rental the asian lady said she cannot accept the confirmation/reservation. If i want to rent the car it would cost 500 U.S. dollars. Showed her online it was cheaper she said it does not matter. THIS APPEARS TO BE A SCAM BY BUDGET. I will never rent a car again from them. I wish i can give them zero star.

Budget has the best service among the low cost car rentals, no doubt. Since I had lots of bad experience with other companies I’ve been using only budget for the last 2 years all over the world and so far so good.Just a hint for the UAE branch: I was really confused why there are 2 websites, a global and a local one and each offering different cars at different prices, even though it’s supposed to be the same company.

First part - payment. The guys were perfect.Second Part - picking up the car. Not helpful staff and the car that I booked was not available therefore they kept on telling me that they will provide the same rating car. Waited nearly 45 minutes for them to bring wrong car to me.The car they provided was a downgrade rather than an upgrade.They were not so cooperative on the phone either.

I wish I had read these reviews before I booked with them. They charged extra on my credit card with no invoice to back up details of the extra charges. When I called (at my cost from abroad) to query, I got told that my reservation number is not in the system. I was further told we are charged first and invoice later. What kind of a system is that? Take your money and then you have to query with them when no invoice received? I was then asked to email all the details and they will look into it. Still awaiting feedback. I have had positive previous experiences with other rental car companies with no such issues. Dont use them!

An absolutely terrible experience from pick-up. Im sure most are aware, if not, expect to pay DOUBLE what the rental cost online is due to ludicrous fees such as airport parking. Second, we booked a hatchback and surprise,suprise that car was not available. What we were treated to instead was an underpowered, plastic piece of garbage. This, in the eyes of Budget, was considered an upgrade......thank you Budget. Finally, to the staff of Budget, if I have used my credit card in numerous locations AROUND THE WORLD as a credit card, do not insist to me that it is only a debt and proceed to charge me more to use another card. I know better. I may continue to use Budget in other locations where service was fantastic but never again Dubai.

Few days after we got back home my credit card was charged 170 AED, and I got no specification which is against the law. I asked for details and they told me that my credit card will be reimbursed some 65 AED. That never happened. We were not driving on toll roads, and also returned car with more fuel than I received at pick up. I also had to change car once as the first one was broken. So BUDGET and their partner PAYLESS (meant for me PAYMORE obviously), neither seemed to care about unhappy customer.ADVICE - avoid this rental company when in Dubai! I used most of other rentals in my previous visits without single complaint.

I arrived in dubai and it was very easy to find the service desk. The service at the desk was very fast, after all paperwork was done I needed to take the car it was on the parking of the departures 2 minutes of walking. When i came their i’ve got a better type of car for the money i paid. Everything of the car was controlled in the front of me and was noted so when I bring the car back they can not say it is damage that made. It was just 5 minutes check and i got the car.Im very happy and will come again to bufget!

Really bad customer service, and they tried to blame us for prior damages. They talked about damaged tires, when clearly its wear and tear. I dont know if the people working there have some type of scheme going on. There was a severely high deposit taken which was not specified to us; discovered the deposit amount of $800+ via credit card email. Worst, worst car rental experience ever!!! It took this poor lady about 20 minutes to enter all the data that was required... not her fault at all. I do understand that passport and drivers license numbers must be entered manually... but credit cards information? On top of it once I paid for everything with a credit card that has been scanned, she had to enter receipts numbers yet again manually into whatever system that is used by Budget... a bit 19th century if you ask me... helpful polite stuff that instead of focusing on the customer punches numbers in a computer system... get a system that allows your staff work for the customer. So three starts, 5 for you staff and 1 for Budget.

First of all they offered me a smaller car than the one I was supposed to get and now they are trying to charge me 808AED for a 2mm dent I didn’t notice when picking up the car. I am challenging them on it and raising a complaint to the head office and following it to the end.Always record a video of the car when picking it up and make sure you don’t get distracted by the agent.Very unpleasant experience. Avoid at all costs!Did not have a clue what they were doing when it come to the cars but were very calculated when it came to deceiving me.They make out like costs are madatory but when I queried them subsequently they were revealed to be optional. Staff were very pushy and not clear in their communication. They were very slow to deal with you and there were at least 4 other people in the same boat as me when collecting their rentals.The quality of the vehicle was poor, with dents scuffs and scrapes more present than the n tually cars paint. I felt compelled to take a video on collection out of fear that they would try and cheat me and blame me for damage that was pre-existing - instead I found that they had added charges for optional extras without explaining this was the case.Avoid, avoid, avoid - budget by definition means inexpensive and that comes with lesser expectations - but when they cheat you out of additional money it is hard to consider this as a fair title for their company!!! Should be cheater, liars, thieves!The irony is that Budget responded to this reply asking me to email their care team which I had already done and been ignored - further showing how poor they actually are when it comea to service and trying to cheat the system - it has been 2 months since I posted this originally and nothing has been done - THIEVES!!!!!!!

Horrible Service! The first invoice we received upon getting the car had one type of information and fees and after we returned the car and left the country they emailed me another invoice with totally different fees and charges that were much higher! They charged us about $48 for renting a car seat for 5 days! What?! They told us we would not be charged for a carseat as it was optional. I’ve tried emailing them and calling them and no luck. Horrible service! If you decide to rent with them, take pictures of everything and keep all of the paperwork.Update: After many months of emails back and forth, they finally dropped the unknown charges and gave us the money back. But this was because I had all of the paperwork and proof, which was very time consuming and tiring trying to figure everything out and trying to prove to them.

Worst experience ever. Dont book with budget. They dont have a desk in terminal 2 and we had to make an international call to their terminal 1 office so they could send someone. They did send someone late after we waited but supposedly was for another customer who had waited an hour more than us. So we werent alone but we were deprioritized. They didnt call me back because they didnt want to make an international call, very hypocritical. There are about a billion fees to include and the only response we got was to book with sunny cars to avoid this. So stupid. We sat on the airport floor while they filled in the paperwork at terminal 2. Horrible experience and service. Dont book here.

They are in Terminal 1 and they do pick up from other terminals but provided you can call them at the office. My suggestion would be to leave a note while booking providing them details of your flight and asking them to pick you up.Airport Parking Fee:The other reviewers are right. No matter even if you have booked online and prepaid, you are still going to have to pay 45 AED for airport parking. Not sure if other car rentals take them.GPS did not work after few hours:I took GPS from them, which was not charging from the car charging port. My mistake I never checked if it was charging using the cars cigar lighter. And once you are driving it is hard to call them and come back to the airport. So make sure you check that GPS is charging from the car port. Luckily I had taken maps from the Department of Tourism office on the airport. Please do keep that handy.They did not refund me the GPS rental fee even though I was promised they would ask supervisor in the morning ( i returned the car at night and I was told if they issue the final bill they cannot refund me the money).Receipt:I had emailed them and asked for the copy of the receipt but received No response from them. Their customer service is OK at least the people in the office are polite and decent.Final thoughts:So overall it was not a bad experience except for the airport parking fee and the GPS dying right while was en-route to some place. The guys at the office do work hard to give you a good customer service experience.

I reserved my car with Budget specifically because the website claimed to have a meet and greet service at Terminal 2. Upon arrival to the terminal I walked passed multiple rental car operators but there was no Budget representative to be seen. I got on a call with the local airport Budget representative who assured me his colleague was en route. Upon arrival the agent got on the phone to see if there were any cars, I had reserved one! Finally he said we have a car at terminal 1 and I would need to go there. When I asked him how I get there he said you have to take a cab! Really, does that make any sense. I rent a car from Budget in which they say there is a meet and greet at terminal 2, only so the greeter can tell me I have to pay for a cab to go to terminal 1! What in the world is that?

Im so disappointment. Stood with 3 children in the middle of night! They wanted 3500 dirham in deposit but wouldnt take my card or the cash I offered. It was obvious that the employee didnt care. I had a bad experience with Budget and will not be renting from them again.I booked and paid online but had loads of ‘extra’ charges when collecting and dropping off the car. The phone number for Abu Dhabi office doesn’t work anymore so was unable to contact them when need assistance and the Dubai office never answered and luckily was not an emergency or someone vulnerable or needing assistance with a tyre change etc.Staff were not very friendly compared to other rental firms.For me, this was not a good experience and wrote a complaint. There was no initial acknowledgement of the complaint until I followed up 2 days later. Then I spoke with someone helpful.

Terrible! Same as all of the other reviews on here. I was told the rental amount was 970 AED with a 1200 AED deposits. After dropping the car off, they said NOTHING, but sent an email an hour later with additional charges. They refused to give any paper work back after turning the car back in to verify everything was fine with the check in. No one will pick up the phone when I call or respond to emails. I was going to let it go when my 1200 AED deposit was refunded but TWO WEEKS later they charged my card for the deposit fee again! And still no one will respond. After reading all the other reviews, wish I would have seen first, I will be filing a claim so don’t even bother with that auto response with Budget priding themselves with customer service and making it right. I have already sent multiple emails with NO response. Terrible company with terrible ownership.

Worst rent office ever , they dont have a desk in dubai airport terminal 2 , when you arrive to the airport you have to look around for the desk after you dont find any desk you have to look for there contact number in google and they answer you after 3-5 calls and they tell you to wait for a guy will come and give you the car , after waiting in the airport for around 40 mins you will wait around 40 mins for finishing the papers in the parking , its the worst car rent I ever made.

This is actually a -10 star. I am obliged to leave this comment here before I start my work as I feel it will be unjust with other customers who travel to enjoy their vacations. Remember, the real stress will come 2 months after your trip when Budget will charge your credit card for an alleged offence that you have never committed in the first place and even if you have, they will not provide you any official record, penalty notice or tracking number which you can use to see on the Dubai Police database and figure out how to appeal or where and when you have made this traffice violation.This is exactly the same happened to me. They first charge me an Airport fees when I was picking the car up and upon returning the car I made sure that everything is super clean and that I leave no trace of anything that could allow them to extort money from me. Actually, when I was returning the car they charged me the Airport charge again despite my assurances that I had already paid this but to no use.I left Dubai and after about 5 weeks I got a very unprofessional email telling me that I have a traffic violation in my name in Dubai (WITHOUT ANY OFFICIAL RECORD NUMBER, YES!!!) and that the company will charge money on my credit card. I honestly thought this to be some scam and did not reply to them because of fear of leaking out my work email details. I asked the bank to cancel my credit card but to my surprise they still manage to credit the money out of my new Credit card. When I got back to them asking them to show me the penalty charge notice, they fail to show me any official document that could prove that the penalty charge was indeed against my rental car.Such an activity is a criminal fraud and I have made a police report against Budget and their Customer care reps.PLEASE WHOEVER IS READING THIS, FOR HEAVENS SAKE DO NOT GO TO THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE ROBBERS AND SCAMMERS AND WILL TRY TO STEAL YOU OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. Grand Hyatt Hotel Budget agency.Awful. the agency is actually a table in the main hall.I had checked the day before that the car would be there, and the time of pick up. They confirmed me that everything was Ok and the crossborder document to go in oman was ready.on the day, the car was not ther, the document not prepared, on gps available. after a few minutes, The female agent was no longer speaking with me but only to my daughter. very strange. she tried to find out a gps but no joy. finally we have downloaded a freemap by web which have been useful.

We received a confirmation stating to get the car in terminal 2 at DBX, our flight arrived at terminal 4 so we had to take a taxi to got to the said terminal.Then the nightmare started!!!Budget has no counter at any terminal so we had to ask everybody where to find the agent. They told me to to go to the parking and look for him, fortunately this has happened in winter so the weather was not a problem. I walked around the parking lot for 10mins and didnt find anybody or any car from Budget.I decided to go back to the airport we sat for a coffee trying to find a phone number to contact anybody from the company, none of the phones provided in the confirmation email and and on this website answered, finally the agent showed up as the other agents told him that I was looking for him and that he could find me in a cofee shop informe of eh arrivals gate.He said it was my mistake as I provide them with my flight number, and they were looking for me in a different terminal.I dont understand the reason for this as I followed the instructions in the email confirmation .He asked me to wait 45 mins to have my car ready!!!I lost more than 2hrs trying to start my trip!!!If planning to rent a car , AVOID Budget rent a car , there are plenty of other companies that do have counters at all terminals.
